Students participate in International Festival

April 26, 2007 —The 5th annual International Festival was held at Cy-Fair High School on April 21. About 120 students participated in 20 performances that reflected the varying cultures that district students come from.

Performances included merengue dancers, a Vietnamese dragon dance, a multi-cultural fashion show and an interpretive Pakistani dance.

Langham Creek High School students Tony Nguyen and Jonathan Tran, along with Cypress Falls High School student Van-Anh Phan and Katy ISD student Amber Vo, show off their costume prior to their Vietnamese dragon dance at the International Festival on April 21. The name of their dance group is “Tien Rong,” which translates into “Celestial Dragon Dance Group.”
